General Manager

Richard joined Turnwell Industries in November 2024 as CEO and General Manager. Turnwell is a joint venture between ADNOC Drilling, SLB and Patterson-UTI, established to perform all operations and support the integrated development plan for unconventional resources in the UAE. The company currently operates multiple rigs and frac fleets to deliver a 144-well program across oil and gas appraisal areas.

Before joining Turnwell, Richard was Vice President of Drilling and Completions at WPX Energy, later acquired by Devon Energy, from September 2017, where he built and led Drilling and Completions teams across multiple unconventional basins, including the Permian, Eagle Ford, Anadarko, Powder River and Williston basins.

He previously spent nine years with EOG Resources, most recently as Division Operations Manager in Oklahoma City, overseeing Drilling, Completions, and Production. Prior to that, he was the Division Completions Manager in Ft Worth, TX.

Richard began his career with Schlumberger, where he spent 22 years in engineering and management roles. His tenure included project management at the company’s Regional Technology Center in Dallas focused on unconventional reservoir development. He held engineering and management positions across Oklahoma, Texas and Kansas, as well as internationally in London, Aberdeen, Balikpapan and Beijing. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering from West Virginia University.

Julian Meneses

Senior Vice President, Operations

As Senior Vice President of Operations at Turnwell Industries, Julian leads operations across nine drilling rigs and two frac fleets, supporting the delivery of 144 wells across oil and gas appraisal areas.

Before joining Turnwell in 2024, Julian served as Global Head of Partnerships at SLB’s headquarters in Paris, where he drove growth across stimulation, characterization and intervention technologies for the Reservoir Performance Division. With over 22 years at SLB, he has led operations in seven countries across four continents, including key roles in major unconventional basins such as Vaca Muerta in Argentina and Jafurah in Saudi Arabia.

Keith Chometsky

Senior Vice President, Technical

Keith is Senior Vice President Technical at Turnwell Industries. He was previously President of MS Directional, a Patterson-UTI subsidiary and leading U.S. provider of directional drilling services. Since joining Patterson-UTI in 2014, he has held multiple leadership roles, including Vice President of Supply Chain Management and Procurement, supporting all Patterson-UTI companies.

Keith holds a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University and an MBA from the University of Houston.

Nik Amin

Vice President, Finance

Nik Amin is a senior finance leader with over 20 years of experience across the oil and gas industry, spanning global field operations, manufacturing and corporate functions.

Before joining Turnwell as VP Finance, he held various regional and global leadership roles in SLB, including Regional Finance Director for South and East Asia, Head of Governance, Risk & Control (GRC) for SLB’s Global Business Services and Global Financial Controller for manufacturing and engineering centers in the USA, China and Italy, as well as roles in Tax and Internal Audit. His expertise covers financial performance, cost leadership, working capital optimization, post-acquisition integration, complex costing and transfer pricing, internal control and audit, built on an early foundation in controllership, audit and taxation.

Nik holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Multimedia University (MMU), is a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and a Chartered Member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (CMIIA).
